Chamber Choir visits to local residential care home

The School Chamber Choir has built a relationship with a local care home and visit at least once each term to sing and play to residents. 

Aims

To benefit the wider school community. The need was identified by our Head of Music. The beneficiaries are the residents of the local care home - about 30-40 - who attend the music session. 

Resources

Teaching staff and a member of the peripatetic music staff facilitate the event.  It is one afternoon each term. 

Pupil Involvement

14-16 pupils in Years 4, 5 & 6 who are members of the Chamber Choir. 

Frequency

Once a term for an afternoon.
