Bagpipes workshops

Our school bagpipe band visits local primary schools to introduce them to the bagpipes as an instrument.

To encourage primary school students to learn a non-traditional instrument.

We contacted local primary schools to ask if they wanted our bagpipe band to visit them. We ask each year and visit those that accept the offer.

It uses the school's bagpipes, students and bagpipe instructor.

No assessment other than the interest of the children at the primary school.

Our pupils range in age from 12 to 15 years old. They are of both genders.

These are single events but are available to as many local primary schools who show interest. We aim to continue it for many years to come.
