Impact Statement

We hold a range of fixtures and tournaments for and with Junior and Secondary state schools. This provides a large pool of local schools to enable competitive game practice to improve techniques and raise standards of game play. This has resulted in an improved level of performance in a variety of sports and an increase in confidence levels for local state schools.

We share our indoor facilities which enables matches to be played all year round, which results in sporting experiences which would not otherwise be possible. This has resulted in more matches being won by those schools who have attended and gained match practice.

We host Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) training weekends for local state schools who do not have the facilities or grounds. This has resulted in an improved completion rate for D of E Bronze award in our immediate area.

We facilitate Cluster group meetings for academic and boarding staff to meet and discuss best practice. This has enabled us to train a variety of staff in such areas as Wellbeing initiatives, Anti Bullying strategies and Mental Health protocols.

Events are held at the school which enable state school students to participate in debates, academic conferences and drama festivals. We host exchange students from a variety of overseas schools. This gives those students the opportunity to experience English education and cultural diversity.
