Impact Statement

We are currently engaging with two primary schools with a view to sharing good practice as well as facilities.

We support the Cornwall ‘Onen Hag Oll’ group that is working on ‘closing the disadvantage gap’, hosting the most recent meeting (February 2024) at Truro School Prep.

The Prep School Head of Music oversees the ‘Cornwall Music Education Hub Vocal Strategy’, developing and ensuring links between the maintained sector and our school (over 100 schools benefit from this involvement).

We host sporting events for and with state schools throughout the year.

We have provided sports equipment (free of charge) to local schools.

Staff coach at a variety of local clubs and engage in coaching/umpiring at school and county tournaments.

We collaborate with local schools and societies to host debating and public speaking competitions; most recently, the Rotary Club Youth Speaks competition, February 2024.

We are shortly to host (March 2024) a concert featuring a  the Primrose Piano Quartet to which seven local primary schools have been invited (transport also offered to the schools – to and from the event).

March 2024 will see us host a Year 4 STEAM Discovery Day, open to all Year 4 children outside of Truro School Prep.
