Impact Statement

We are delighted to have created a partnership with the WISE Academies. The WISE Academies is a Multi-Academy Trust which incorporates a number of academies in the North-East of England.  The Trust is a DfE approved charity that consists of both converter and sponsored academies.  WISE stands for We Inspire Success and Excellence, which sums up their vision. The Trust is dedicated to getting the best possible outcomes, ensuring that every pupil achieves their full potential within a rich learning environment.

Our partnership with WISE will include the sharing of best practice amongst our respective teaching staff, professional development opportunities for both communities, the setting up of departmental networks (SEND for example), Heads training, pupil leadership programmes and academic enrichment. 

In addition to this we organise and host sports festivals and fixtures, to which local state schools are invited. These include cross country events for 200-300 children from Year 1 to Year 8, Netball, Hockey and Rugby tournaments together with athletic events in the Summer Term. We provide the administration, refreshments and prizes without charge.

We are also able to offer Sports Camps during school holidays for children aged 7-13 in the local community and whilst this is a chargeable event as it is run by an outside company, it is open to all.

We arrange an annual Maths Challenge for children in Year 6 where local state schools are invited to attend. There is no charge for this event.

The School is a registered centre for ABRSM Music exams and children from the locality are able to take their exams here.

We are also a registered centre for LAMDA exams and, again, this is a facility that can be used by local children.
