Impact Statement

Yarlet has strong links with a local special school, including the headmaster being the Chair of Governors and pupils raising funds to improve resources. For example, £500 was raised for their school library. Furthermore, chapel collections are taken to fund residential placements for special school children which tend to take place over the Christmas and summer holidays. This provides local disabled children with an exciting treat and their families with much needed respite. Many pupils benefit from taking part in a range of sports at the school, the excellent facilities and spacious grounds providing opportunities for local youngsters to enhance their physical education in a way that otherwise would not have been possible. Our pupils benefit enormously by living alongside and interacting with a more representative and diverse group of children.
