Impact Statement

We provided a Science INSET for staff from 5 local primary schools (Fletching, Plumpton, Barcombe, Hamsey and Danehill). This was hosted in our STEM building and was run by our Head of Science.

We continue to run 90 minute sessions every Wednesday afternoon in the Science labs, staffed by two of our Science Teachers. The five schools attend in rotation. There is no charge for this Science Club, and it has impact on around 75 pupils and various members of staff.

Our Assistant Head is serving on the Governing Board of Danehill Primary, since September 2017. Impact thus far includes help with policies and more of a consistent link between the Head teacher and Cumnor House.

Pupils of Danehill School competed again in our Cross Country meet in January 2019.
Cumnor Theatre was used as the venue for Danehill School's dramatic production, and the school has also brought pupils to hear various talks by visiting authors.

Use of minibuses has been offered to various groups but obtaining suitable insurance is still too difficult.
