Impact Statement

We undertake a wide range of activities including the sharing of our artistic and sporting facilities, sharing ideas with local primary schools and involving our staff in supporting local community groups such as brownies and Governors. Local schools use our minibuses, and we provide free access to our swimming pool and teacher. We also provide facilitators, transport and coaches for our inter school matches and STEAM day.

All children from a local primary school achieved the statutory 25m swimming standard as a result of using our pool and teachers. The school have stated that they would have been unable to make swimming accessible without this.

Pupils from the same school have been able to take part in sport tournaments with other local primary schools that they would have not been able to otherwise do. 3 other schools were also able to participate in the tournament helped by our support in running a minibus service.

We have hosted INSET training with staff from Aston where we have shared good practice and their primary subject leads have had access to our secondary specialists and used the expertise to develop schemes of work and resources
