Impact Statement

We organise and host a local state school to practice with our orchestra and put on a performance. The day helped 20 children from the state school increase their love of learning of music, their ability to listen to each other play in a collective and also a sense of community.

We have a local secondary school enter a team of eight boys in the cross country meet we organise and host which includes seven hundred girls and boys and lets them compete and experience the benefits of competitive sport in a friendly atmosphere.

One of our governors organises an annual cricket coaching/tournament day with local state schools which gives 40 children access to level 3 ECB cricket coaches and our facilities. All the children involved in these events enjoy themselves, learn and grow form taking part.

We have 7 members of staff and governors who govern at local state schools and offer their expertise and time to their schools.

We have a good relationship with a local state school who use our Forest School facilities throughout the academic year to help their children, normally 30, experience outdoor learning in a safe environment. This has helped them to develop their problem solving, team building, questioning and practical learning skills
