Impact Statement

Our Fagus Social and Emotional Developmental toolkit is being used by many schools to support and develop their knowledge and understanding Many schools have commented on the positive impact the training we provide is having on their understanding and awareness of supporting young people who have experienced developmental or relationship trauma.

"Fagus has been helping Hope School support the social and emotional developmental needs of the young people in our care and inform best practice.
We are using the Fagus Developmental Profiles to get more of a through insight into some of our pupils' individual SEHM concerns and this in turn has supported individual target setting as we can start to pinpoint their primary social and emotional difficulties". This year we have run a series of Developmental Trauma Twilight training courses for approximately 30 schools per course. Delegates have given strong feedback about the usefulness and relevance of the training for them to take back and change practice in their schools and settings. Delegates have commented on their increased awareness of the importance of considering a pupil's developmental age rather than pure chronological age when supported pupils who have experienced developmental trauma.
