Impact Statement

We invite local primary schools to a number of events in school: on an annual basis, we run sports days for pupils in Year 5 and Year 6, where they spend the day at Wycliffe to experience a variety of sports including hockey, football, rugby, tennis, netball and swimming. These days are delivered by a combination of our teaching staff and external professionals, for which there is no charge and a cooked lunch is also provided. In addition to these sports days, we run termly primary school experience mornings in a combination of different curriculum areas such as Art, DT, Drama, Music, Computing, History and Modern Foreign Languages. We have recently run a very successful primary school netball afternoon, which was benefitted by pupils from 7 different local primary schools, one school of which uses our swimming pool on a Friday evening. By offering these events to local schools only enhances the sense of community you can already feel at Wycliffe.
