Impact Statement
Impact statements for sharing facilities and ideas with local State schools.1. Sport.
a. Swimming. Use of our pool provides life-skill benefits to many KS1 & K2 pupils and to the schools to enable them to deliver their curriculum requirements.
b. Sport. Use of our sports facilities provides a centralised location for local KS1 & KS2 pupils to undertake a range of team sports and other activities. The provision of our grounds to local State schools for annual sports day allows KS1 and KS2 pupils to participate holistically within the school and for their parents to also to be fully involved. Additionally sports day provides additional opportunities for Year 6 pupils to undertake the role of sports leaders.
2. STEM Curriculum Development. Participating in our ICT, Science, Mathematics and Design Technology lessons has allowed KS1 and KS2 pupils to develop a deeper understanding in the STEM subjects. For one school this opportunity has been further leveraged and has acted as a spring board for them providing their own engaging and exciting ICT program.
3. Performances. The viewing of performances allows Years 5 & 6 pupils to watch aspirational delivery and to witness peers from a different demographic delivering stage performances. This in turn helps to inspire children to aim higher at their own end of year performance.
4. Community. A village community is important as is teaching values and PSHE to pupils. The act of common worship by the War memorial each year by ourselves and the village Primary school provides a platform for mutual experiences and public speaking by the pupils.
