Impact Statement

Farleigh has an established relationship with Icknield School, a local school for children with severe learning difficulties who visit Farleigh each week. As part of their community service activity, pupils in Years 7 and 8 spend time playing with the children whose needs are very different from their own.
The swimming pool is used by 15 local primary schools for their school swimming sessions. In September, a special needs senior school used the pool weekly for six weeks for their swimming sessions.
We continue to have links with Anton Junior School, providing transport to and from our swimming facilities. One of our staff members is Chair of Governors, providing support to the School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) centre at Anton school which has 30-40 trainee teachers in the Andover area. We have also loaned the Farleigh minibus to St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School to help them transport their pupils to an event.
The music department hosted a Primary Schools’ Choral Workshop for over 60 pupils from three local primary schools. Trinity College Music exams for local school pupils were also hosted in the music school.
