Impact Statement
We organised and hosted two workshops for Year 6 children and invited the local state schools to send their children to join us. The first event was focused on literacy and in particular Shakespeare, the company presented a performance and then the pupils were given time to improvise and perform their interpretations of a short script. The second workshop was a PHSE session based around the many aspects of bullying encountered in the world today - particular emphasis was towards moving forward to the next stage of education - secondary school - and the importance of speaking out for the protection of all. Schools reported back that both teachers and pupils found the interaction between the children an valuable exercise.Our Lady's also hosted an evening for parents on the matter of internet dangers and safe use of the internet in family life. A general invite to this event was issued locally to both school and Nursery parents. This was a most informative evening and many parents reported that it was very useful to them.
