Impact Statement
Our Head of Music was responsible for coordinating the annual Precious Moments concert for the charity, Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. This involved a number of schools and community groups coming together for a concert, raising money for the charity. More than 50 performers were from state schools, and over 10 hours was spent by our Head of Music in preparation and rehearsal for the performance.Following the opening of our new Food Studio facility, our Head of Food Studio has reached out to local state schools, offering Food & Nutrition lessons for this academic year. One school are now scheduled to attend lessons from Spring 2019. Time spent thus far on liaison and planning is ~20 hours with more to be offered going forward. Impact to be quantified in the 2019 census.
The School offers a limited number of means-tested bursaries awarded according to need.
Bursaries (including Emergency Fee Assistance), on a sliding scale, are awarded to pupils who we believe will gain most from a Sarum Hall education, and who will contribute fully to the life of the school. Parents interested in applying for means-tested financial assistance are recommended to download and read the School’s Bursary Policy.
The provision of all financial assistance is at the sole discretion of the School and is subject to the means-testing rigour expected of independent schools by the Charity Commission. Both parents/guardians will be required to provide proof of their income and assets. The level of support varies according to a range of circumstances including assessed parental need and also to the level of funding available.
