Impact Statement

• Two members of staff are governors at other schools.
• We run an annual science workshop for a local primary school so that they can use the school’s facilities, and our French teachers work with the local primary schools several times a year.
• Every year the following events take place to which primary schools within the local area (a radius of 10 miles) are invited: Cross Country Competition, Football skills workshop, Football festival, Kwik Cricket for Years, rugby tots. This covers over 20 schools in the area and includes around 140 children. These events are free and the impact is in their organisation and in running the events on the day, which involves staff and some pupils.
• We loan our swimming pool in July to the local primary school so that the children can complete their basic water skills test.
• One primary schools comes annually to do bush craft skills, which is hosted by us.
• This year we are hosting the Berkshire Rural Federation of primary schools cross country at Elstree school; this involves the organisation, setting up the course, route markers and match tea.
