Impact Statement

Our local school, Holy Trinity Primary, uses our swimming pool on a weekly basis for their Year 6 children. This has enabled the boys and girls to develop their swimming skills and confidence in the water.

We have just formalised links in September with the Grove Academy, Watford through our outreach co-ordinator. Plans are being discussed between the two schools and there have been visits by the Leadership teams to establish a working relationship. The first initiative will provide an opportunities for our Year 8 pupils to teach French under the guidance of our Modern Foreign Languages department. They will be divided into small groups to deliver a lesson to three classes, where the children will be taught songs and actions in the target language.

Pupils from the Grove Academy will be visiting us to see the Year 7 and 8 drama production. This will provide the opportunity for the pupils to see costumes, lights and sound in a theatre environment as well as have an audience for a dress rehearsal.
