Impact Statement

As a Foundation Governor I am assigned to the Teaching and Learning Committee, Wellbeing Committee as well as attending the full Governing Board meetings. Through visiting the school at the start of the academic year I have been involved in learning walks with the school’s SMT and have observed all teachers/year groups from EYFS to Year 6. This information was fed back to the Headteacher formally with the rest of the Governance team and development plans created as a result of this meeting. The full Board Meetings have occurred twice in the Autumn term and the order of business has included buildings, budgets and staff development. I have the offer of training that I shall partake in over the coming term with Bexley Council.

We provided our concert hall (including lighting and audio equipment) to a local state primary school for their end of Year 6 production. The hall was used for a rehearsal and two evening performances. Technical expertise were provided during the rehearsal to ensure everything was set in readiness for the performances.

Friendly sporting fixtures are arranged with a local state primary.
