Impact Statement

Each October we host a Community Football Festival for state schools. We invite many state schools from Windsor, Ascot, Maidenhead and Bracknell to St George's for a Year 4 football tournament. 6 state schools attended our most recent tournament with around 100 pupils taking part. The tournament lasted approximately 3 hours and a considerable amount of additional time was spent by the sports department in the organisation of the event. St George's organise, host, referee and cater for this tournament which is

We also host a Year 5 football tournament and both independent prep and state schools are invited.
In previous years teams from state schools have taken part but none accepted the invitation in 2018.

In the summer term local first and middle schools are invited to our athletics triangular. The event is hosted, catered and organised by St George's School.

We make our minibuses available free of charge to pupils from Queen Anne First School on an as-needed basis, enabling pupils from that school to attend trips and events that might otherwise not be possible.

35 of our children (the Chamber Choir) took part in the choral project which St George's Chapel Windsor Castle has provided for the local state "first" schools. The projects sees a year group from eight schools (around 300 children in total) attend concerts as part of the Windsor Festival. The children have weekly sessions learning songs and all come together to perform as part of a widely advertised and prestigious festival. The project has a significant impact on children's musical understanding, knowledge and confidence. The school's Chamber Choir modelled choral excellence.

Pupils from several local schools have been invited to watch drama performances during the year.
