Impact Statement

Our partnership with a local state continues to work well enhancing provision for similar age pupils. During the last year we have hosted two children’s authors, Cressida Cowell and Peter Brown, who presented to 90 and 120 state school pupils respectively when they joined our junior girls in our Coombe Ridge Hall.
At the end of last year teaching staff from our school joined with staff at a local Catholic Primary School to complete RE moderation.
In March we hosted 4 state schools attending the high five netball finals. We also attend the borough’s cross country competition which is supported by both state and independent schools.
Our partnership with a local state primary school continues to work very well enhancing the provision for similar aged pupils. Our drama specialist teacher, who visits the school weekly continues to work well with year 5, developing their drama skills and enhancing their performances.
In the autumn term The Royal Institute held an extra- curricular maths masterclass club for the junior years. This was attended by selected year 5 and 6 Holy Cross girls, a neighbouring boy’s school and local state school pupils. The local senior school supplied four upper 6th form girls to help support the delivery of the sessions.
We provide our facilities for a local state school as a retreat.
We have a partnership with a primary school in Lusaka, Zambia who we support with resources, uniform and share teaching expertise. We host an annual visit for 60 children each autumn and they take part in specialist lessons, including art and computing.
