Impact Statement

Three local primary and secondary schools bring students to watch our theatre performances; this helps with their aspirations and evaluation of live theatre. Drama school coaching and workshops are opened to three local state schools who often bring students to participate in the sessions run by visiting Drama Schools – this enhances their chances of success on application. Staff from our Drama, Science and the Mathematics departments visit other schools to provide training and exam moderation. The annual ‘Maths in the Sticks’ event, hosted here, invites many Mathematics staff from a wide range of schools to share good practice and engage in specific training. Our A Level History students act as ‘student mentors’ for GCSE History students from a local state school as they prepare for their annual History viva competition. 4-6 of our students visit one or two local primary schools to assist with reading and mathematics.
