Impact Statement
At Manor Lodge School, we want to ensure that our school is recognised as a valuable national and community asset. It is our aim to build an awareness of what we can offer in terms of educational and economic value principally within our local area. This academic year has seen us starting to build relationships in the following ways:1. We are in the initial stages of partnering with a local state primary school to share resources, such as our outdoor space, INSETs and teaching resources.
2. We have built a Japanese Garden to promote mindfulness. A dedicated member of staff has been given space in her curriculum to lecture at outdoor learning events and to go into schools and Nurseries to share her expertise free of charge
3. State schools are invited to attend the annual year 6 show. Transport is provided free of charge.
We endeavour to persue these partnerships to make them meaningful and to push forward, this academic year, to become an important part of our local community.
We recognise that the education we provide could be denied to children who could benefit substantially from it, simply because their parents may be unable to afford our fees.
For that reason we provide funds from our own resources to assist such families; these bursaries (which are awarded at the Governors’ discretion) are means-tested each year and are given to those children who meet the School’s entry requirements but who would not otherwise be able to afford to come to Manor Lodge or (if circumstances change) to stay at the School for the full term. This information is held in the strictest confidence.
Please contact the Bursar for more information.
