Impact Statement

As a registered charity, Teesside High School is committed to working with the community and, particularly, demonstrating significant benefit and 'added value' to local school pupils. In recent years, the school has worked with around ten local primary schools to host masterclases, workshops and sporting festivals delivered to over 2000 children. A partnership with a local bookshop has shown significant uptake in the number of local pupils coming to Teesside High School to hear from talented authors such as David Almond and Nicola Davies. The governing body is fully supportive of such initiatives and in the past have attended if the event has a particular tie to their field of interest, for example, the Chair once judged a business and enterprise competition due to his background in accounting. Teesside High School has been working collaboratively with one local primary for a School Musical. Community initiatives with two local care homes and hospice have taken place and cluster sports competitions for feeder primary's also.
