Impact Statement

Presentation given by young female scientist to pupils at key stage 3 girls and 45 girls from a neighbouring state school. Attitudes towards Science were measured before the talk and six weeks later to assess whether the experience had an impact on attitudes towards careers in STEM. Survey responses showed improved attitudes towards careers in Science had remained in place.

Leadership and management - one of our staff is a Governor at a local state primary school. She is given time away from school to attend meetings and share her experience, most recently taking part in the appointment of a new Headteacher for the school.

England Netball are using our indoor hall over several weekends for their level 1 & 2 Netball coaching courses. Surrey league netball are using all five of our netball courts in conjunction with courts at a neighbouring state school for their Sunday tournaments throughout the season involving over 500 participants pupils who benefit in improvements in their game.

Regular “Rhyme Time” sessions were provided by a member of the School’s staff at the local Library for the benefit of phonics for those pupils attending.

Providing opportunities for local state school pupils to use the swimming pool means that these pupils can improve their swimming and water safety which they otherwise would not have had the opportunity to do.
