Impact Statement

At The Oratory Preparatory School we offer children from the surrounding primary school access to our playing fields for fixtures and run warm ups, coaching sessions and cool downs in Rugby, Football, Netball and Cricket. We have also mixed the two schools together for fixtures depending on standard of opposition.

We currently work in partnership with the Vale of White Horse County Cup competition at Under 11. We host one tournament and enter the Carslaw Cup (County U11 9-a-side Tournament) which involves over 26 state schools and 2 independent schools. The tournament we host the OPS does not enter but caters for, and provides referees for the teams entered.

The Oratory Preparatory School currently plays sporting fixtures against Goring CP, Whitchurch CP, Sonning Common, All Saints, Didcot Boys and various other schools as part of the county cup, Weekly fixtures, local school partnerships and swimming galas. We also play against the occasional club side including Reading United, Whitchurch Hill and AFC Whitchurch on Saturday afternoon/mornings when both school and club do not have fixtures.
