Impact Statement

We provide free access for the local Cubs and Scouts group to our sports facilities, including the swimming pool. They in turn reciprocate by helping at one of our major social events of the year. The swimming pool is also used by the junior section of Staines Swimming Club as their primary training venue. The majority of those participating in these clubs attend local primary schools. We have a point of contact with the Runnymede Group of primary schools and have looked at ways in which we can share best practice as well as provide access to professional development non-core subjects for primary teachers, which are in short supply compared to Numeracy, Literacy and IT.

Using the ISC calculator, the school contributes £7,032,988 to UK GDP, which means a £3,976,916 (or a 0.09%)contribution to the GDP of Runnymede LAD. As an employer of 92 staff, the school also therefore effectively supports a further 16 jobs within the local supply chain and a total of 160 jobs through the school's activities.
