Impact Statement
We meet termly with a local state school to share ideas and practice on outdoor learning and Forest school. This is an informal but mutually beneficial partnership and staff members from each school have anecdotally reported an increase in the quality and quantity of their outdoor learning provision.Every other year we hold a music event for between 6-8 state and independent schools, showcasing and sharing music from our choirs and providing all pupils and staff with the opportunity to attend a workshop and Inset from a leading choral practitioner. Last year this was the Head of The National Youth Choir. Music teachers report that their practice is refreshed and pupils inspired to sing and make more from opportunities in and out of school.
Every year we hold a training event and invite local state school staff. For example, an IT in the EYFS training session to develop practice and understanding. We ask attendees to offer feedback and these generally show increased confidence and strategies for teaching, learning and ideas for curriculums.
