Impact Statement

“We offer our swimming pool for weekly sessions, complete with coaching and lifeguards and also provide free transport in Lucton School buses to up to four local primary schools at any one time.”

“We host ABRSM and LAMDA exams at Lucton and many external candidates are made welcome.”

“We run major annual Cross Country, Aquathlon and Triathlon events for local schools, the largest of which is attracts around 25 schools and over 600 runners, at this, over 20 of the schools are state schools from Herefordshire, Shropshire and Powys. The aquathlon and triathlon are smaller events, but often have over 250 pupils on each occasion. Here again, the vast majority are from invited state schools.”

"Approximately one third of our fixtures involve matches with state schools and we offer the majority of the facilities and assist some schools with transport to the matches."

“At our equestrian centre, we have a 60m x 40m all-weather arena, suitable for hosting show jumping and dressage events. We run regular local inter-school events and state schools are always in the majority. The largest sannual show jumping event is the NSEA annual qualifier and this year, it entailed nearly 200 rounds of jumping.”

“We host orchestral workshops and this year, we had our largest ever attendance, with 4 members of the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra providing masterclass teaching. 12 other schools sent pupils, and 9 of those were state schools.”
