Impact Statement

Our school has had modern language outreach with local primary schools in which teachers go and deliver tuition directly. State schools have come to St Mary's for Y6 science lessons. Annually we invite at least one state primary school choir as participating guests at our concert at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. A similar arrangement occurs at Proms in the Park (open air event at our Games Field drawing around 2-3,000 people).

Our school is part of the Liverpool Archdiocese Secondary school improvement trust: staff at all levels attend meetings to share expertise and contribute to the overall Archdiocesan education plan.

Our school is also part of the Edmund Rice Schools family (Seven schools nationally, 6 of which are in the maintained sector). The focus of this is the Edmund Rice mission but also includes sharing of expertise and participating in competitions such as debating and public speaking.
