Impact Statement

We provided a Maths teacher for a Mathematics Enrichment Conference, which is open to a mixture of state and independent schools. Our evaluation shows increased learning and partnership opportunities with neighbouring schools.

A number of Subject Leaders have had ‘Teach Meets’ with staff at a local state school. Knowledge, skills and expertise were shared and ways to improve teaching and learning were discussed. These partnerships have led to shared educational events being put into the calendar for 2019.

We invited the Science Lead from a local state school to judge our bi-annual Junior Science Fair. This experience has encouraged the visiting member of staff to host their own Science Fair. This positive relationship between Subject Leaders has led to further science events being put into the calendar for 2019.

We are now part of OPEN LP, a collaboration between local maintained and independent schools based in the geographical area. This year, the partnership, and therefore our school, has been a part of a Science Week, a Maths Enrichment Conference and a variety of CPD speaker sessions for staff. Regular Link meetings ensure schools are working together to provide a variety of opportunities to help to improve the quality of teaching and learning for pupils. These meetings have led to some exciting events to be placed into the calendar for 2019.

Our resident pianist supported a local state school as their acting pianist for their Carol Service. This was a wonderful use of sharing teaching expertise between the schools, building important bridges within the two music departments.
