Impact Statement

As a PE department, we run 3 inclusive tournaments per year for athletics, football and netball. We do not invite any independent schools, rather, we send out invites to many local primary and middle schools, the events have proven very popular, and we now have a loyal contingent of around 6- 8 schools who regularly attend. This has led to a positive relationships being built between the schools and their staff for collaborative purposes of sharing good practice within sport and PE as well and leading to the development of a link in the Arts and a collaborative art competition being crated amongst the schools. The students impact is most fully felt as children from many schools, abilities and backgrounds come together to compete and socialise. They experience success and failure in a closely controlled and safe environment and alongside individuals they would not necessarily have the opportunity to meet.
