Impact Statement

State school staff and our staff both benefit from local moderation meetings for Key Stage 1 and 2 English and Maths. The impact has been improved understanding of the moderation process for all and more precise moderation. It has also enabled a sharing of ideas and pedagogy.

State school children and our children compete together in a wide range of sporting events within the local state school sports association. Our PE teacher organise some of the events and helps at planning meetings. The impact is that state school children and our children benefit from the mix of cultures and backgrounds promoting British values.

Our PE teacher organises the local district football team for state school and independent school pupils. The impact of this is improving the quality of sports provision and giving children from a variety of backgrounds the opportunity to meet and mix. This also gives local state school children the benefit of his experience as a specialist football coach (employed by Aston Villa as a youth coach too)

We host some football matches within the local primary school league for local state school teams. The impact of this again is that pupils from different backgrounds and cultures mix and benefit from our sports teachers experienced refereeing and expertise.

State school children come to us for work experience. The impact is they have a taste of the world of work in an educational establishment and see how our school works.

Our Chess Coach organises chess tournaments in state schools where our children and state school pupils compete. The impact is that state school pupils benefit from his experience and again mix with children from a range of backgrounds.
