Impact Statement

A state school regularly uses our swimming pool, giving the opportunity for children to attend weekly swimming lessons. Use of our pool enables the children to meet the required expectations for the end of Key Stage 2:
Children should be able to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
Children should be able use a range of strokes effectively [for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke]
Children should be able to perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations

Staff at Windlesham attend training sessions along with staff from state schools, provided by Citywide Alliance Schools Training (www.castcpd.co.uk). This has kept staff up to date with new ideas and practices.

Pupils from a state school have taken part in our World Book Day including author visits. This has enriched the learning of children and provided an enrichment opportunity for children in a state school.
