Impact Statement

5-a-side football fixtures with our local Church of England primary school have been mutually beneficial for a number of reasons. Firstly, the PE departments of both schools have shared examples of good practice and benefited from each other's expertise. Secondly, these inter-school fixtures have given opportunities for a level of competition that would not have been possible within the respective schools due to smaller pupil numbers. Thirdly, friendships have been strengthened and new relationships have formed between the students from both schools; a shared sporting context has helped to break misconceptions on both sides that were based on the type of school.
