Impact Statement
There is an array of activities that Lingfield College have enjoyed with partnership schools.
A selection of activities include:
· Teaching PE at Lingfield Primary and Dormansland Primary schools
· Delivered hampers (collected by some forms from Harvest festival) to the Knowle House care home and also the Francis Care home in Copthorne.
· Welcomed Years 5 & 6 to watch the dress rehearsal of ‘Haroun and the Sea of Stories’
· MFL language experience– two MFL teachers went to Felbridge school to run a French and Spanish workshop, starting with a continental breakfast, French and Spanish lessons followed by a French game and a Salsa dancing lesson.
· Donated 200 maps to Oxted School.
Sports coaches & Teachers provide weekly coaching at two local primary schools.
We employ & fund a minibus driver to take children from a local village primary school up to the Ashdown Forest for their outdoor educational needs. They do not own their own minibus so this activity would be too costly and almost impossible for them. This lady also drops off Sixth Formers to two primary schools to enable them volunteer whether reading with pupils, supporting them with maths, or just being an extra pair of hands for the school in question.
Half termly, we have a partnership meeting with the following schools:
Dormansland Primary School
Lingfield Primary School
Felbridge Primary School
Copthorne Junior School
We are delighted to have Copthorne Prep and Ardingly College joining us from January 2023. At these meetings we discuss a variety of topics and share valuable experience, from culture to managing change and cpd. We are currently discussing our individual key priorities and where we can share available resource, or buy in a shared resource for specific training.
Aside from the obvious benefits of shared practice, we have developed meaningful connections with like minded, passionate individuals. When anyone joins our partnership there are two key points that are made 1) there is no hierarchy and 2) it's all about getting the best for the children.
