Impact Statement 1: from a primary school to which Trinity sends sports staff to support coaching and staff development
On behalf of St.Joseph’s Junior school I just want to say a huge thank you to you and the other Trinity coaches, and all of the boys who have supported us at St.Joseph’s Jrs this year with rugby, hockey and swimming. The children have had a fantastic time and I have benefited immensely with CPD from watching and repeating the lessons with other age groups.

Some of the things, especially in the hockey session, I would never have attempted with Yr3 but the boys were so professional and instilled such confidence into our children that it was delightful to watch them achieve so much and in a relatively short space of time. Our Yr4’s loved their rugby sessions and because of their enthusiasm I have organised a special rugby after school club for them in this final half term, which should stand us in good stead for our competition in September. I hope that you are still alright to host this event for us on Wednesday 26th September 2018? This will be our 4th year, and as you know, it is usually a very well attended event.

Finally thank you for the swimming sessions. I particularly am grateful for the work you did with The Good Shepherd school as they attended the Catholic Schools’ gala for the first time in a very long while and they even had 2 children that made it into the finals, so that was a great success.

I look forward to working with you again next year and wish you all a very restful and happy summer.

May I also take this opportunity to thank you. We really appreciate the work that you have carried out with our pupils and I know that Mary considers there to be a very strong relationship between our two schools. We are always very grateful for opportunities like this and our children greatly benefit from accessing outside expertise.

Impact Statement 2 - from a primary school which Trinity supports with sports coaching:
I personally just want to say a big thank you because the children have absolutely loved the rugby training and I have seen so many children who might not always show enthusiasm for sport, flourish. The “usual suspects” have loved it but that was to be expected, it is the “middle of the road” children who have gained so much from this experience. I have to say I was unsure that rugby was going to produce that result but we have definitely benefited from your professional approach and specialism in this area. I have really enjoyed the sessions also and intend to put them into use in the future.

Impact Statement 3: From the residents of Wilhelmina House (a care home, part of the Whitgift Foundation):
“The musical entertainment (provided by Trinity students) was very good, as usual. It’s always a great joy and a privilege to have such talented young people coming to perform for our residents. We are grateful to you and the teaching staff for arranging such visits.”

And speaking of a past experience with one of our field days (when students go off-timetable to take part in community action): “students show real commitment and enthusiasm, sometimes even going above and beyond the call of duty. I remember for instance one particular group: one of the students sat behind the piano and started an impromptu recital, while another was performing card tricks for some of our residents at a nearby table. It was a bit sad to let them go and they left with a big smile on their faces, after making sure they had said goodbye to everyone.”

Impact Statement 4: From The Shrublands Trust (food bank): “The visit went very well and they (Trinity students) worked so efficiently we did let them go early. I hope they went away with some positive thoughts on food banks! One of the lads is clearly a born leader, but they all worked together well.”

Impact Statement 5: from Selsdon Contact: “Just a quick note to say thanks very much for arranging for the (Trinity) students to entertain our clients yesterday at our annual clients Christmas party. We have had excellent feedback from lots of clients to say how much they enjoyed being entertained by the students. Also, to say how talented they are. Please would you relay to the students, and in particular our thanks to the teacher, who kindly brought them to the hall and expertly packed the minibus with instruments!”

Impact Statement 6: Quest Academy CCF: This partnership has successfully ignited curiosity in military and outdoor activities through the huge range of challenging and immersive experiences.

These opportunities have helped our students to prepare for a range of vocational opportunities across all key stages and have provided a wealth of experience and knowledge that can be utilised in GCSE and Duke of Edinburgh related qualifications.
Trinity school has been the provider for the necessary resources and uniforms to help our students make the most of their cadet experience as well as providing consistent practical guidance and robust health and safety procedures.
Our participating staff have benefitted from the good counsel, constant support and training provided by Trinity School. One member of staff has gained a promotion to Assistant Principal, two have received weapons handling training and successfully passed their WHT as well as their pre-Frimley and IOT training. Our AV found her experience useful in helping her to develop in her move from the role of classroom assistant to that of trainee teacher. This staff development would not have been possible without Trinity school’s support. Furthermore, these opportunities will no doubt have considerable impact on the lives of our students in the future.
With Trinity school support, we are now moving towards becoming an independent contingent.
