Aims of the project
Felsted recognises the privelege its pupils have to attend a school such as Felsted and as such strives to makes a difference to those less fortunate by offering its facilities to the Lord's Taverners for their regular girls' cricket coaching and also for their annual Summer Holiday Wicketz Camp.
Background and goals
Felsted's Head of Cricket works closely with professionals in the world of cricket. The good work of Lord's Taverners in supporting those less priveleged is well known in the world of cricket and as such Felsted is delighted to support such a dedicated charity and has been doing so for a number of years.
Lord's Taverners works closely with our Lettings and Grounds departments to ensure that facilities are available and ready when they need them.
They also work closely with our Head of Cricket, Jason Gallian and the Felsted Marketing Department to ensure their work is well recognsied amongst our priveleged Felsted community.
Feedback from the Wicketz Camps in particular are unanimous in the impact of staying somewhere like Felsted. Many children have not been to the countryside before or experienced a holiday.
Children from the age of approximately 7 to 18 benefit from the Wicketz Holiday Programme at Felsted School each summer.
Frequency and duration
Felsted supports this charity during the cricket season for local girls' coaching and in the summer for the Wicketz Summer Camp.
