Post SATs activities (St John's Primary School)

Partner: St John's Church of England Primary School, Cheltenham
Partner type: Maintained School
Project category: Sporting Partnerships

20 Year 6 students from St John's after their SATS are finished participate in a number of sports and activities on a weekly basis at College with our various sporting professional coaches. These include football, tennis, cricket, hockey, rugby as well as CCF assault course and fun swim sessions.  As part of the partnership College also transport the school's sports teams to local events and tournaments.

Aims of the project

Expose children to the facilities and professional coaches of College.  Introduce new sports and activities to them.

Coaches deliver fun sessions and children have new experiences as well as the opportunity to use our facilities.  They are used to a tiny concrete play area.

Both school benefit from shared activity.
