Aims of the project
To give children enhanced opportunites to learn, develop new skills and broaden their experiences.
Background and goals
Ther partnership was proposed by our Art & Design Coordinator in Summer 2017, and we then wrote to all 6 local primary schools; three responded and we started in September 2017
We fund one teacher, planning and equipment for half day weekyl sessions for a year at a time.
Partnership schools provide space, materials and staff in the classroom to support.
We will seek verbal feedback each term and a short written evaluation, to see aht we can do to improve what we are offering each child.
60 pupils are involved in groups of 30 that change over each half term. They are in mixed gender classes from Years 3 / 4.
Frequency and duration
Thr sesions are weekly on Fridays in term time. They start at 12.00 and run until 2.30/3.00pm each week.
They may continue for the rest of the year, and at least for this term.
