The Armed Man Concert

Taunton School Music Department completed an exceptional term of music making with a full performance of Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man on Friday 8th December.

A full 60 piece professional orchestra performed with the 110 strong choir, consisting of singers from all parts of the school, including many pupils and staff. They performed the work with a 16ft video screen relaying the harrowing yet uplifting video alongside the music, in a triumphant and intensely moving performance.

Pupil Involvement

All solos at the concert were sung by pupils, from Year 9 - 12.

The pupils of the school, as well as the whole school community have accomplished 31 public performances and events (including The Armed Man concert) that they have undertaken musically.
