State school partnership - swimming provision for local primary school pupils
St Swithun's provides free weekly use of the school swimming pool for pupils from Four Marks Primary School.
As part of the Swim for the Future programme, we encourage free use of our swimming pool throughout the year, allowing 25 children from local state schools to develop their swimming skills
Aims
To provide the required level of national curriculum swimming for one year group of Sun Hill pupils, at reduced cost to Four Marks.

Resources
St Swithun's provides free usage of the school swimming pool and lifeguards for this activity.
Impact
The swimming coaches assess each pupils level of ability at the start of the programme, and then again at the end to who the progress each child makes.
The aim is to enable all children to swim at least 25 metres.
Pupil Involvement
60 pupils from Four Marks school children benefit from this activity each week, for one term.
Frequency
Weekly for one term per year, ongoing.
