Sports Outreach Partnership (Roecliffe Church of England Primary School, Boroughbridge, York)

Queen Ethelburga’s employ a full time community sport outreach coach, who delivers weekly curriculum PE sessions in six local state primary schools (Kirk Hammerton, Staveley, Roecliffe, Sessay, Boroughbridge and Great Ouseburn), free of charge. These are supported by our specialist coaches, many of whom have international playing and/or coaching experience. Each unit of work culminates in a half-termly competition at Queen Ethelburga’s, where the Primary school children are transported to QE to take part alongside our own junior school pupils. The cost of transportation is met by QE, so that cost does not restrict the opportunity for the state primary schools to participate.
