Sisterhood UK - Alleyn's Theatre support local resident to raise awareness for The Woman's Aid charity
The MCT at Alleyn's was hired out on a community basis to a local resident who organised an evening of entertainment to inspire and empower women in London and to raise awareness of The Woman's Aid charity.
The MCT at Alleyn's was hired on a community basis in order for the Sisterhood Concert to be staged to raise awareness for Women’s Aid, whose 24-hour National Domestic Helpline and range of online services helps hundreds of thousands of women and children every year.
The charity objectives are to empower women who have been affected by domestic violence, provide listening services for women, support and reflect diversity and promote equality of opportunity and to and promote cohesive inter-agency responses to domestic violence and develop partnerships.
Alleyn’s events and theatre staff spent their time co-ordinating all aspects of the hire in the lead up to, and throughout, the event. Ensuring all aspects of the concert ran to schedule and delivered to the highest possible standard, creating an enjoyable and relaxed environment for both the organisers and the audience on the evening.
