Science Discovery Day (North Cerney Church of England Primary Academy, Cirencester)

A fun and interactive Science Discovery Day.

Aims

To introduce primary age pupils to senior school Science in a fun and interactive manner.

Background

It was proposed and set up by our Head of Science.

Resources

Internal staffing; lab space; materials for practicals; catering support; food; external speakers from Bristol ChemLabs; transport to and from the school using our minibuses and staff. All costs were covered by us and the schools attending were not required to make any contribution.

Feedback from the schools attending.

Pupil Involvement

Pupils from our own junior school were involved during the day, as well as pupils from 6 other schools.

Frequency

This was a single event this year, but similar events have been held in previous years.
