Pink Panther Code Breaker 2012

Boys and girls from Years 5 and 6 were invited for our first-dedicated outreach event focused on code breaking, maths puzzles and logic games.

 

Aims

The event aimed to build links with the local community, with an emphasis on fostering team building and problem solving skills rather than mathematical ability. 

 

Background

The event was organised and delivered by teacher of maths, Wendy Taylor. Wendy has since led all of our partnership events with a dedicated outreach team at NGHS.

Resources

All rounds were specifically sdesigned with the theme of Pink Panther.

Both teaching, support staff and SLT were on hand on the day.

The event included free lunches for all children and staff and help with transport to and from NGHS was also available.
