Outdoor adventures
We invited all the children from Sunflowers to come and have a day exploring our campus and the woodland classroom and Forest School.
Aims
The aim was to give the children a day to come and explore some of our 230 acres, using the outdoor classroom and Forest School areas to enhance their knowledge of the outdoor world.
Background
We contacted all the local playgroups and offered a day for them.
Resources
The project used the grounds of Rendcomb, and also our staff and minibuses as we collected the children from Cirencester and delivered them back at the end of their day.
Impact
The children had a wonderful day, and learnt a lot about the outdoors.
Pupil Involvement
None of our pupils were involved, but all 30 of the Sunflowers children came along.
Frequency
This was a single activity, but owing to the success of it we will be offering it again.
