One teacher from Francis Holland teaches history lessons to pensioners each week

One teacher from Francis Holland School, who left the school in 2021, offered his time each week to speak with pensioners and to teach them history lessons.

Aims

The aim of the initiative was to keep brains active for senior citizens and to stimulate their interest in history.

Background

The partnership came about from an offer made by this teacher during his sabbatical year from school. He undertook an MA in History and he offered some of his time each week for the benefit of others.
