LitFest 2025

We hosted an amazing LitFest for 170 Year 5 pupils from local primary schools. 

In the morning, the incredible Cressida Cowell, author of How to Train Your Dragon, joined us to talk about her books and her writing journey that led her to become a world-famous author. Pupils then had the exciting opportunity to get their books signed and chat with Cressida too! 

The excitement continued with a carousel of engaging, hands-on activities, inspired by Cressida’s books:

Creating their own dragon with science 

Learning how to train your dragon in drama 

Building a dragon shelter in Minecraft 

Embarking on a treasure hunt in the library 

Designing and making fire-breathing dragons in DT

Exploring the ethics of 'what makes a good leader?' in PRE.
