Kent College's Deputy Head Pastoral is a school governor at Lamberhurst Primary School

Mrs Jen Tobin is a school governor at Lamberhurst, St Mary’s CofE Primary School, Tunbridge Wells.  She attends governor meetings throughout the year and actively supports the school in events such as assemblies and school fetes. She hold specific responsibilities as an LA governor and is also the school’s safeguarding governor.

Aims

Mrs Tobin is an experienced Religious Studies teacher and Deputy Head Pastoral at a local independent girl’s school, Kent College Pembury. She shares her areas of expertise in pastoral matters, particularly e-safety to help the school meet its aims.

Background

Mrs Tobin is Deputy Head Pastoral at Kent College Pembury, which has an historical link with Lamberhurst Primary, where their Deputy Head has sat on the board of governors for Lamberhurst Primary. This link was created by the current Head of Lamberhurst, who is an ex-parent at Kent College.

Resources

Mrs Tobin is given time to carry out visits and talks throughout the school year.

Impact

Mrs Tobin is keen to maintain the link with Lamberhurst and use the training she has undertaken for pastoral matters to help provide support in the state sector as well as the independent.
