Governance of local state schools - Canford and Beaucroft Foundation School

Several members of the Canford staff are governors at local state schools. In the last year these have included:

The Bourne Academy (4 present staff); St Peter's School, Bournemouth; Merley First School (two present staff); Hampreston First School and Beaucroft School.

Background

Staff are volunteer governors (parent governors or co-opted for their educational experience).

Frequency

Schools vary as to how often governors meet, but all meet at least three times a year as a governing body; and most are involved elsewhere on sub-committees or as visitors to the school.
